Southside Church, the south Atlanta arm of Northpoint Ministries wanted to create their own identity separate from their parent megachurch while still maintaining enough similarities to benefit from the larger Northpoint brand. Southside was hoping to capitalize on the unique culture, diversity, and growth in their geographic region and get away from the overly corporate feel of their current brand, but they didn’t know where to start.
I was brought into the project by designer Laura Balfour who would be providing the visual design for the project. Over several weeks, I interviewed Southside churchgoers from three different church campuses of all ages and backgrounds, uncovering their views about the church and what makes it different along the way.
Laura was able to use the valuable data we collected to set a new strategic visual direction that she could use as she created Southside’s new brand design, and now Southside has a new visual identity system that better aligns with their local community and future goals for the ministry.
REPLACE THIS Angie has worked to gain an understanding of our brand and creative aesthetic and blended it with her own keen eye for practical design. The result is consistently outstanding deliverables that have elevated our look and feel to an entirely new level.
