Atlanta Food Photography: Garden & Gun Magazine’s Sunday Suppers

Garden and Gun

As a lover of photography and culinary experiences, I always find myself drawn to events that beautifully combine both these elements. I had the incredible opportunity to photograph an event as part of the Garden & Gun Sunday Supper Series. Having been featured in Garden & Gun Magazine previously, I was elated to be a part of this event and to be featured again.

Garden & Gun Sunday Suppers

Nestled in the heart of Atlanta’s Battery district, the Garden & Gun Club set the stage for a delightful event for their Sunday Supper Series. It is the perfect backdrop for intimate gatherings where food, stories, and camaraderie intertwine.

What makes the Sunday Supper Series truly remarkable is its dedication to unique themes and concepts for each event. From celebrating seasonal ingredients to paying homage to regional cuisines, every dinner offers a fresh perspective on culinary artistry. The event I had the privilege of photographing was a collaboration with Visit Winston-Salem. The flavors of North Carolina met the heart of Georgia.

The partnership with Visit Winston-Salem was great for this Sunday Supper. It brought a slice of Winston-Salem’s culinary identity to Atlanta. The tourism board’s efforts resulted in an unforgettable evening. Attendees not only experienced the flavors of Winston-Salem but also its spirit. The dinner showcased the talent that the city has to offer, underscoring the vibrant food scene of Winston-Salem.

Throughout the evening, I found myself struck by the meticulous attention to detail. There was so much attention to detail that went into every aspect of the event. Ginger Fox, the mixologist for the evening, crafted cocktails that were a sensory journey. The cocktails perfectly complemented the culinary experience that awaited.

Chef Stephanie Tyson at Garden & Gun Club

Chef Stephanie Tyson, of Sweet Potatoes in downtown Winston-Salem, took center stage as she curated a multi-course dinner that unfolded like a symphony. Every dish was a harmonious blend of flavors, textures, and colors that delighted both the palate and the eye. The intimate setting allowed guests to engage with the chef, making the experience all the more personal and immersive.
