I may be an adult, far far away from the days of butterfly clips and boy bands, but recently in the vibrant heart of Atlanta, my recent product and lifestyle photography shoot brought back waves of nostalgia as I teamed up with Caboodles, the beloved ’90s brand that has experienced a remarkable resurgence in recent years, thanks to platforms like TikTok and a revived interest in ‘90s culture. It’s truly a ‘90s baby’s dream! I was so excited when I saw this email in my inbox and immediately started thinking of all the fun ways to capture these fun products.
For those who may not be familiar, Caboodles is an iconic brand. It’s best known for its distinctive plastic storage cases that were all the rage in the 1990s. These cases were designed to organize and carry cosmetics and personal care products in style. Caboodles were more than just practical; they were a fashion statement of their own. With their vibrant, colorful plastic shells and cleverly designed compartments, Caboodles became a symbol of the ’90s. They adorned the bedrooms and bathrooms of teenagers and young adults.
In recent years, Caboodles has experienced a revival. They have captured the hearts of a new generation and rekindled fond memories for those who cherished them in their youth. TikTok, with its ability to promote trends from the past, played a significant role in bringing Caboodles back into the limelight. Coupled with the general resurgence of ’90s culture in fashion and pop culture, it’s no surprise that Caboodles are once again a sought-after accessory.
I must admit, I was no exception to the Caboodles craze during my childhood. My Caboodles case was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable items I owned. It made this recent project all the more special.

She brought her A-game in wardrobe and prop styling, perfectly capturing the essence of the ’90s and Caboodles’ colorful charm. James Carter was the amazing hair and makeup artist to help the models execute the perfect ‘90s vibe! Finally, the beautiful models from Ursula Wiedmann Models & Talent brought it all together.
In a world where the past and present often collide, Caboodles continues to remind us that nostalgia never goes out of style. It was an absolute joy to be part of this project. We celebrated a brand that has stood the test of time, proving that sometimes, the best things come back around.
