Because I’m such a lover of food, I get asked for restaurant recommendations ALL the time. So I feel like it’s an obligation of mine to let you know when something new and delicious hits the restaurant scene here in Atlanta. Lucky for you, I’ve got one such new tip today.
Rina is a new spot located in the Ford Factory Lofts just a stones throw from Ponce City Market. Conveniently located right on the Beltline, this eatery serves up casual Israeli food in a warm and vibrant setting. When you sit at a table in Rina, you instantly feel very very cool.
The food is exactly the authentic and yummy kind of stuff you’d expect from owner Tal Baum. He grew up in Israel and whose grandmother’s recipes are used as the backbone of the menu. My personal faves include the falafel pita, the fried Halloumi topped with a tomato brown butter (pictured below), and of course the boozy milkshakes.
But if you’re looking for the true Rina experience, order up the hummus (they have three different varieties–my fave is #3 (pictured center below) which is topped with roasted spiced butternut squash, harissa, and dukkah) and a bunch of mezze (pictured below following the hummus image). The mezze are little nibbles to accompany your hummus and can be shared around the table….very fun.
With the amazing food, prime location, and lighthearted atmosphere, it’s no wonder Eater named Rina one of their Hottest Restaurants in Atlanta Right Now. But don’t take my word or pictures for it, check it out yourself! Rina is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Thanks to Atlys Media for including me on this project!
